چکیده

Although Fourier series approximation is ubiquitous in computational physics owing to the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithm, efficient techniques for the fast evaluation of a three-dimensional truncated Fourier series at a set of arbitrary points are quite rare, especially in MATLAB language. Here we employ the Nonequispaced Fast Fourier Transform (NFFT, by J. Keiner, S. Kunis, and D. Potts), a C library designed for this purpose, and provide a Matlab R © and GNU Octave interface that makes NFFT easily available to the Numerical Analysis community. We test the effectiveness of our package in the framework of quantum vortex reconnections, where pseudospectral Fourier methods are commonly used and local high resolution is required in the post-processing stage. We show that the efficient evaluation of a truncated Fourier series at arbitrary points provides excellent results at a computational cost much smaller than carrying out a numerical simulation of the problem on a sufficiently fine regular grid that can reproduce comparable details of the reconnecting vortices.

A contribution to approximate analytical evaluation of Fourier series via an Applied Analysis standpoint; an application in turbulence spectrum of eddies

In the present paper, we shall attempt to make a contribution to approximate analytical evaluation of the harmonic decomposition of an arbitrary continuous function. The basic assumption is that the class of functions that we investigate here, except the verification of Dirichlet's principles, is concurrently able to be expanded in Taylor's representation, over a particular interval of their do...

Analytical solution for nonlinear Schrödinger vortex reconnection

Analysis of the nonlinear Schrödinger vortex reconnection is given in terms of coordinate-time power series. The lowest order terms in these series correspond to a solution of the linear Schrödinger equation and provide several interesting properties of the reconnection process, in particular the nonsingular character of reconnections, the anti-parallel configuration of vortex filaments and a s...

Application of quantum technology in radars

In this paper, the use of quantum technology in the radar system and the advantages of these radars as compared to classical radars have been analyzed. In the beginning, briefly, we present the basic structure of the theory of quantum electrodynamics, and then the role of photon in this theory and photon interactions is presented.  In the next step, the most general form of the quantum radar cr...

Cascade process of linked quantum vortex loops

Here we present for the first time a detailed study of the cascade process of two linked quantum vortex loops under the Gross-Pitaevskii equation. After a series of successive reconnections the vortex system decays to three distinct loops. Kinetic helicity as well as various geometric and topological properties associated with helicity are examined throughout the reconnection events, providing ...
